Een unieke samenwerking tussen Corpo Máquina Society & Krasis Percussion Group

3 Studies on Gesture is een dynamische ontmoeting tussen muziek, beweging en improvisatie. Deze bijzondere voorstelling verkent het raakvlak tussen ritme en beweging en brengt de percussionisten van Krasis Percussion Group samen met de fysieke kunstzinnigheid van freestylevoetballer Rowdy Heinen van Corpo Máquina Society.

Gedreven door improvisatie en omkaderd door drie concepten, ontvouwt de voorstelling zich in drie golven:

• Common Pulse
  Creëert een dichte, pulserende textuur, waarbij elke percussionist zijn eigen kleurlaag aan de ruimte toevoegt door middel van verschillende ritmische patronen die op een geselecteerde set instrumenten worden gespeeld.-
• Disintegration
  Verbeeldt de ineenstorting van drie punten met een hoge energieconcentratie en de daaropvolgende ontbinding ervan in de ruimte.
• Resonance Chaser
  Streeft naar het creëren van een zwevende geluidskwaliteit, waarbij geluid geen duidelijk begin of einde lijkt te hebben. Waar resonerende lichamen samensmelten tot verschuivende klankkleuren en kleurrijke texturen.

Gedurende de hele voorstelling reageert Rowdy Heinen op de livemuziek en gaat hij ermee in interactie, terwijl hij zijn freestyle voetbalbewegingen verweeft met het zich ontwikkelende geluidslandschap.

3 Studies on Gesture (part of the concert: Rock Metal Foam) – premiere May 1st 2025 (Tilburg in Motion, Lochal, Tilburg)

A unique collaboration between Corpo Máquina Society & Krasis Percussion Group

3 Studies on Gesture is a dynamic meeting of music, movement, and improvisation. This special performance explores the intersection of rhythm and movement, bringing together the percussionists of Krasis Percussion Group and the physical artistry of freestyle footballer Rowdy Heinen of Corpo Máquina Society.

Driven by improvisation and framed by three concepts, the performance unfolds in three waves:

• Common Pulse
  Creates a dense, pulsating texture, with each percussionist adding their own layer of color to the space through distinct rhythmic patterns played on a selected set of instruments.
• Disintegration
  Represents the collapse of three high energy concentration points and its subsequent dissolution on the space. 
• Resonance Chaser
  Aims to create a floating sound quality, where sound seems to have no clear beginning or end. Where resonant bodies merge to form shifting timbres and colorful textures.

Throughout the performance Rowdy Heinen responds to and interacts with the live music as he weaves his freestyle football movement into the evolving soundscape.
