Football meets dance is een voorstelling en workshop in één. Kijken, creëren en presenteren. Leerlingen ontmoeten een freestyle voetballer, een danser/acteur en een percussionist. Eerst in een korte presentatie van 15 minuten. Daarna gaan de leerlingen samen met de spelers de vloer op om zelf te bewegen. Aan de hand van het getoonde materiaal gaan ze aan de slag en vinden hun eigen weg. Onder de inspirerende begeleiding van de spelers maken ze hun eigen voorstelling en tonen die om beurten aan elkaar.
De energieke kwaliteit van de sport opent de deur naar de expressieve kracht van de kunsten. Uiteindelijk is er geen kind dat dit wil missen. Football meets dance duurt 60-75 minuten en kan per school op maat gemaakt worden. Zo komen we bijvoorbeeld graag een hele dag naar uw school om met een aantal groepen achter elkaar te werken. Graag gaan we in gesprek om alles inhoudelijk en praktisch op maat af te stemmen.
Toelichting competenties en kerndoelen:
Leerlingen worden gestimuleerd in het kijken naar professionals en in het kijken naar elkaar. De workshop is hierop gebouwd. Leerlingen worden gestimuleerd om onbevangen te bewegen. De opbouw van de presentatie, het ritme van de cagon, en de beweeglijkheid van de bal vormen het kader. Iedere deelnemer wordt bevestigd in z’n eigen energie en nieuwsgierigheid. De groep bouwt zich met ieders eigenheid. Leerlingen worden gestimuleerd om op zichzelf te vertrouwen, om te voelen dat ze er helemaal mogen zijn. Spelenderwijs presenteren de leerlingen wat ze samen hebben gemaakt en kijken naar elkaar. Zo leren ze niet alleen zichzelf maar ook de ander waarderen.

Football meets Dance is both a performance and a workshop in one. Watching, creating, and presenting come together. Students are introduced to a freestyle footballer, a dancer/actor, and a percussionist. First through a short 15-minute performance. Afterwards, the students join the performers on the floor to start moving themselves. Inspired by the material they’ve just seen, they begin to explore and find their own way. With the performers’ engaging guidance, they create their own mini performance and take turns presenting it to each other.
The energetic nature of sport opens the door to the expressive power of the arts. In the end, there’s not a single student who wants to miss out. Football meets Dance lasts 60 to 75 minutes and can be tailored to the needs of each school. For example, we’re happy to spend a full day at your school, working with several groups back-to-back. We’re always open to discuss the content and practical setup together.

Students are encouraged to observe professionals—and each other. The workshop is built around this principle. They’re invited to move freely and without inhibition. The structure of the performance, the rhythm of the cajón, and the movement of the ball form the foundation. Every participant is affirmed in their own energy and curiosity. The group takes shape through the uniqueness of each student.
Students are encouraged to trust themselves and to feel that they fully belong. Through play, they present what they’ve created together and watch each other’s work. In doing so, they learn not only to value themselves, but also to appreciate one another.
