“Schatgraven naar wat het lichaam ons te dansen geeft”, noemde één van de vrouwen het. Een spektakel voltrok zich. De groep vrouwen bleek te bestaan uit extreem toegewijde schatgravers. Choreograaf Miotto raakte diep ontroerd en geïnspireerd door hun durf, onbevangenheid en schoonheid. Nog steeds komen ze bij elkaar. En ook dit jaar tijdens Boulevard dansen ze door en geven ons een inkijkje in hun onbegrensde universum. Met hun beweging creëren ze een open space waarin het uitwisselen van energie ook aan de toeschouwer een uitnodiging wordt om ‘te zíjn’. Een project waarmee Corpo Máquina Society tot de kern van zijn eigen missie doordringt.
In ieder mens schuilt een danser, is het credo van choreograaf Guilherme Miotto en zijn Corpo Máquina Society. Daarmee verwijzend naar het wonder dat ieder wezen van zichzelf al is en in zich draagt en het platform dat ieder mens verdient om gezien te worden. Vorig jaar tijdens Boulevard streek Miotto neer in de Bossche Aawijk/De Meerendonk voor een kort en intensief traject van bewegingssessies met een groep vrouwen uit de buurt. Ze gingen aan de slag met Instinctive Performance: een aanmoediging om vanuit de pure beweging die het lichaam voortbrengt te associëren, te fantaseren en nog dieper in de beweging te gaan.

“Treasure hunting for what the body gives us to dance,” one of the women called it. A spectacle unfolded. The group of women turned out to be extremely dedicated treasure hunters. Choreographer Miotto was deeply moved and inspired by their courage, open-mindedness, and beauty. They still come together. And this year during Boulevard, they continue to dance, giving us a glimpse into their limitless universe. With their movement, they create an open space where the exchange of energy also becomes an invitation for the audience to “be.” A project through which Corpo Máquina Society gets to the core of its own mission.
“There is a dancer within every person” is the credo of choreographer Guilherme Miotto and his Corpo Máquina Society. This refers to the inherent wonder that every being already possesses and carries within itself, and the platform that every person deserves to be seen. Last year, during Boulevard, Miotto settled in Aawijk/De Meerendonk, Den Bosch, for a short and intensive series of movement sessions with a group of local women. They worked with Instinctive Performance: an encouragement to associate, imagine, and delve even deeper into the body’s pure movement, starting from the pure movement produced by the body.
